Brad Pitt talks about attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings
Hollywood actor Brad Pitt said that he attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for a year and a half. An interview with him was published by GQ.
The artist took part in the meetings in 2016 after breaking up with actress Angelina Jolie. “I had a very cool men’s group here, very closed and selective, so it was safe,” he recalled.
Pitt was afraid that there would be people in the groups who would record his speeches. He noted that Philip Seymour Hoffman, who died in 2014 from a drug overdose, faced a similar situation.
In February, Brad Pitt sued Angelina Jolie. The artist accused his ex-wife of secretly selling the French winery Chateau Miraval, which is jointly owned by them. The buyer turned out to be a Russian businessman from the Forbes list, Yuri Shefler.
Pitt, in a statement of claim, indicated that Jolie never asked his consent to sell part of the property and deliberately hid the terms of the transaction from him. As a result, “Shefler undermined his ability to run the winery,” the actor noted.
