Ten deputies of the Lviv regional council joined the army during the war
Ten of the 84 deputies of the Lviv regional council took up arms after a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. Relevant information ZAXID.NET received from the leaders and representatives of various factions of the regional council.
Three deputies from the largest faction, European Solidarity, joined the territorial defense units and the Armed Forces – Stepan Bunyak, Oleksandr Hanushchyn and Yevhen Shved.
Two deputies from the Svoboda faction joined the army – Mykhailo Baitala and Eduard Leonov.
Two elected representatives from the NRU faction, Roman Filipiv and Bohdan Hagalyuk, and two others from the UGP, Taras Czolij and Yuriy Folvarochny, also went to serve. deputies).
Oleksandr Kobzarev, a deputy of the Lviv Regional Council from Samopomoch, also went to military service.
It is noteworthy that five of the mobilized deputies were present at the June 14 meeting of the regional council – Mykhailo Baitala, Eduard Leonov, Taras Czolij, Bohdan Hagalyuk and Roman Filipiv. As ZAXID.NET was explained by the staff of the Lviv Regional Council, at their request, the staff sent letters to military units to release the elected officials to the session. Instead, a total of 20 deputies from all factions missed the first meeting of the regional council since the beginning of the war. According to the head of the regional council Iryna Hrymak, many of those absent left the country.
