Bond girl Lea Seydoux in talks to star in Dune 2
French actress Léa Seydoux, known for her role as a Bond girl, is in talks with the Legendary film company about her participation in the second part of the film “Dunes”. It is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
The actress can play the role of Lady Margo Fenring, the wife of one of the authorities on the planet Arrakis, a servant of the Sisterhood and an ally of the protagonist Paul Atreides.
Filming for the sequel will begin in the summer of 2022 in Budapest. The plot is based on the Frank Herbert novel Dune. The film will once again be directed by Denis Villeneuve, who is currently working on the script with John Spaihts.
The film is set to release on October 20, 2023. The film also stars Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, Josh Brolin and Stellan Skarsgård. Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken and Austin Butler have previously joined the cast.
The first part of “Dune” was released on September 3, 2021. The film grossed $400.6 million worldwide, received ten Oscar nominations and won six statuettes.
