Guy Ritchie to Direct ‘Hercules’ for Disney

British director Guy Ritchie will direct the film “Hercules” for Disney Studios. It is reported by Variety.

The new film will be produced by Joe and Anthony Russo’s AGBO production company, which created Avengers: Endgame.

Now the company is looking for screenwriters for Hercules. They will adapt the 1997 cartoon directed by Ron Clements and John Musker.

The soundtrack for the film was written by Alan Menken, who also worked on The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas and Aladdin.

It was previously reported that Guy Ritchie wanted to direct a TV series based on the movie The Gentlemen. According to Deadline, the filmmaker has already started talks with Netflix about the upcoming project. He has already written the script for the pilot and intends to direct the first two episodes.
