In Russia, they wanted to revive the Volga and Pobeda brands
In Russia, it is planned to revive the automobile brands Volga and Pobeda. This was stated by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, RBC reports.
“Colleagues have plans to revive the Volga or Pobeda brand, or both,” the minister said. When asked whether these cars would be produced in Nizhny Novgorod, he said that the project could be implemented at different sites. Manturov did not specify the possible dates for the start of production.
On May 16, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that Muscovites would be manufactured at the former Renault plant, which had been taken over by the city. According to Russian presidential aide Igor Levitin, the cars will be sold at a reasonable price.
